Research
My research is organized around three connected directions: AI agents in the economy, organizations, and science; foundation models and learning for operational systems; and experiments, markets, and games.
AI Agents in the Economy, Organizations, and Science
AI agents increasingly act as products, algorithms, productive assets, workers, collaborators, and delegated decision-makers. I study which classical operations-management ideas transfer to these agents and which must be revised because agents differ in autonomy, replicability, learning, controllability, verification, and incentive structure. The same questions reach beyond firms and markets into science itself: how research is produced, verified, evaluated, and credited when agents take part in it.
